Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has revealed that the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) are considering Ms. Comfort Emmanson for the role of ambassador for good passenger conduct.
In a statement on his X handle, Keyamo said the move follows Emmanson’s release from prison custody on Tuesday, a development linked to his earlier intervention.
He explained that such ambassadorial positions are voluntary and unpaid, describing them as a form of community service often assigned to repentant offenders.
“In my discussion last night with the Airline Operators of Nigeria, they are looking at the option of using Ms. Comfort Emmanson, who has also shown remorse, as their own Ambassador for good passenger conduct. It is left for the AON to work out those details,” Keyamo stated.
The minister stressed that this practice is not new in Nigeria, adding: “We firmly believe we have been fair to all.”
