In the area of road infrastructure, the council sanctioned a series of reconstruction and dualisation projects across the state, running into several billions of naira. Top on the list is the 13.6km Ojoo Interchange–IITA–Moniya Junction–Akinyele Interchange road with spurs to New Oyo Expressway, Ibadan, valued at N63.6 billion. The road, designed as a dual carriageway with six lanes, is scheduled for completion within 18 months.

Similarly, the 30km Okaka Junction–Otu–Igbojaiye–KAP Film Village Road, which includes the construction of bridges over Otu and Ofiki Rivers, was awarded at N26.48 billion with an 18-month delivery period.

The council further gave approval for the dualisation of the 6.2km Ajia Junction (Ibadan-Ife Interchange)–Nigeria Air Force Base Road at the cost of N17.18 billion, with a 12-month timeline.

In Eruwa, the Isaba-Ogundoyin Road (0.75km) and the Lanlate Garage Junction–Local Government Junction–Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic–Oke Ola Junction Road (1.9km) are to undergo reconstruction at N4.14 billion, with completion expected in one year.

The ongoing 12km Apete–Awotan–Akufo Road project will also be expanded to cover Akufo Farm Settlement Road (2.2km), with an additional approval of N1.93 billion.

For Ibadan metropolis, limited patching of selected roads, thermoplastic marking, and kerb painting were also approved at a cost of N444.8 million.

The approvals were granted during the council meeting presided over by Acting Governor, Barr. Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal.
