The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a detailed timetable for its 2025/2026 nationwide congresses, outlining activities at the ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels, culminating in a national convention scheduled for March 2026.

The timetable was contained in a notice issued by the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, and signed by the National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.

According to the document, the process will begin with the commencement and completion of membership e-registration from Monday, December 1, 2025, to Friday, January 30, 2026. This will be followed by the issuance of notices of congresses to state chapters and the Federal Capital Territory on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Purchase and submission of forms for ward and local government area congresses will take place from Wednesday, February 4, to Monday, February 9, 2026. Screening and screening appeals committees for the ward and LGA congresses will be inaugurated on Tuesday, February 10, while screening of aspirants is slated for February 11 to February 13.

Ward congresses are fixed for Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with appeals arising from the exercise to be heard the following day. Local government congresses, which will include the election of delegates to the national convention, will hold on Friday, February 20, while appeals from the LGA congresses are scheduled for Saturday, February 21.

At the state level, sale of forms for state executive positions will commence on Monday, February 23, 2026, and end on Friday, February 27. Screening of aspirants for state executive offices will be conducted between Monday, March 2, and Wednesday, March 4, followed by the state congresses on Saturday, March 7.

Appeals from the state congresses will be heard from March 9 to March 11.

The party also fixed March 12 to March 17 for the purchase and submission of forms for zonal congresses and the national convention. Screening of aspirants for zonal positions will hold on March 19 and March 20, ahead of the zonal congresses scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, across the six geopolitical zones.

The notice listed zonal congress venues as Ibadan for the South West, Enugu for the South East, Rivers/Cross River for the South South, Kaduna for the North West, Gombe/Bauchi for the North East, and Nasarawa for the North Central.

Appeals arising from the zonal congresses will be treated on Monday, March 23, 2026. The national convention is slated for Wednesday, March 25, to Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The party anchored the exercise on constitutional provisions, stating that the schedule was issued “pursuant to the provisions of Article 11: A sub-section (i–xiii), and Article 17(i) of our Party’s Constitution,” for the conduct of congresses across wards, local government areas and states of the federation.
