The Federal Government has opened an application portal for the recruitment of Technical Facilitators into Federal Technical Colleges across the country.
This is a move aimed at repositioning Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The development was announced in a press release issued on February 17, 2026, by the Federal Ministry of Education and signed by Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations.
The Ministry said the one-year ministerial intervention is designed to engage qualified, industry-oriented professionals who will provide modern, competency-based instruction in technical colleges nationwide.
According to the statement, the programme “aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and aims to bridge Nigeria’s critical skills gap by engaging qualified, industry-oriented professionals to deliver modern, competency-based training.”
It explained that the exercise is targeted at experienced technical experts with strong teaching capacity who can strengthen practical and theoretical learning in the colleges.
The intervention, the Ministry noted, is part of ongoing reforms geared towards improving the quality and relevance of technical education in line with labour market needs.
Prospective applicants are required to complete the official online application form through the Ministry’s designated portal.
The statement stressed that “All submissions will undergo a transparent, rigorous, and merit-based evaluation process. Submission does not guarantee selection.”
The portal will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The Ministry also restated its resolve to strengthen Federal Technical Colleges as centres of excellence for skills development, innovation, and workforce readiness.
