The Peoples Democratic Party has approved the commencement of a digital membership registration exercise across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, beginning March 2, 2026.
In a statement dated February 28, 2026, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the party announced that the decision was taken by its National Working Committee to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026.
The party said the registration, which will run for three weeks, is aimed at compiling a digital register of members as required by law for submission to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
It stated that registration would take place daily, except on Sundays, at ward, chapter and state offices nationwide, while special cases would be treated at the party’s National Secretariat.
To coordinate the process, the PDP said it has constituted a special committee headed by the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan, to supervise the exercise and address complaints that may arise during the period.
“Members and the general public are encouraged to visit the nearest PDP office within their ward to register,” the statement read.
The party urged interested persons to seek further details by calling the official phone number or through the designated email address.
