The Nigeria Police Force has fixed April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination of candidates seeking enlistment as Police Constables across the country.
The schedule was announced in a press statement issued by the Police Service Commission in partnership with the police authorities, outlining that the exercise will take place in designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Only applicants who cleared the earlier physical and credentials screening will sit for the examination. Eligible candidates have been directed to access the recruitment portal to print their Examination Invitation Card, which carries details of their date, time and venue.
The Commission listed items required at the centres to include a pen, National Identification Number slip with a clear photograph, and the printed invitation card. It also directed candidates to appear in white shorts, a white T-shirt and white canvas shoes.
The Commission stressed that the recruitment process is free, warning against any attempt to solicit or offer payment. It stated, “The recruitment process is entirely free of charge,” adding that “any individual found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.”
The notice was signed by Anthony Okon Placid, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Force Public Relations Officer, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
