The All Progressives Congress has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 General Elections, setting new dates for screening, appeals and primary polls across all elective positions.
The update was contained in a press statement issued in Abuja and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, alongside an official document endorsed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
The party said, “the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections,” noting that the changes affect key stages of the electoral process.
Under the new arrangement, notice of election to state chapters is scheduled for April 20, 2026, while the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026. The deadline for submission of completed forms is fixed for May 4.
Screening of aspirants for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and governorship positions will take place from May 6 to May 8, while the presidential screening is billed for May 9. Publication of screening results follows on May 11, with appeals slated for May 12 and May 13.
Primary elections will begin with the House of Representatives on May 15, followed by the Senate on May 18 and State Houses of Assembly on May 20. Governorship primaries are set for May 21, while the presidential primary will be held on May 23.
Appeals arising from the primaries will be treated between May 18 and May 25, depending on the category of election.
The document also outlined the cost of forms, pegging the presidential expression of interest and nomination forms at a combined sum of ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million. Senate forms cost ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State Assembly ₦6 million.
The party added that female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities are to pay only for the expression of interest forms and half of the nomination fees.
It stated that designated bank accounts have been approved for all payments linked to the process, stressing that transactions must be made directly into the party’s accounts.
The statement reads, “the revision includes changes to timelines for, among others, screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of forms and the Party’s bank accounts approved to receive all payments relating to the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.”
