The Governor of Centre of Excellence (Lagos) , Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Mr. Kazeem Adeniji (SAN), following his election as President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Worldwide.
The announcement came after the conclusion of the organisation’s triennial delegates conference held in Abeokuta, the Gateway State (Ogun), where delegates reached a unanimous decision to entrust Adeniji with the leadership of the Muslim body.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the new president’s dedication to religious and social development. He highlighted Adeniji’s past contributions to public service, particularly during his tenure from 2015 to 2019 as the state’s top legal officer.
Sanwo-Olu described Adeniji’s selection as a reflection of his longstanding commitment to faith-based engagement and community building, expressing confidence that the newly elected leader would bring people together across religious lines while furthering the cause of Islam.
“I commend Mr. Kazeem Adeniji (SAN) for this new chapter in his journey of service,” the governor stated. “His track record, both in public office and within the Muslim community, speaks volumes.”
The governor also extended his best wishes to other executive members elected alongside Adeniji, expressing optimism about the group’s direction under its new leadership.
The statement concluded with Governor Sanwo-Olu expressing hope that the new leadership would deepen the organisation’s reach and bring about renewed engagement with Nigerians from diverse backgrounds.
