Ikeja Electric Plc has attributed reduced electricity supply across its network to a shortfall in power allocated to the distribution company from the national grid.
The company disclosed this in a public notice issued by its management on Monday, October 19, 2026, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the supply constraints.
Ikeja Electric said it was engaging relevant stakeholders to improve the available electricity supply while assuring customers that it would distribute the power received from the national grid as fairly as possible.
The company also appealed for customers’ patience and understanding, pledging to keep them informed as the situation develops.
“We remain committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves,” the management stated.
The development comes amid reduced supply to customers connected to Ikeja Electric’s distribution network, with the company linking the situation to limited power allocation from the national grid.
