Governor of the Land of Equity (Kebbi), Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has refuted reports suggesting that he, alongside four other governors, is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement addressing the issue, Governor Idris described the circulating rumours as baseless fabrications crafted by what he termed “political comedians.” He emphasized that his commitment to the APC remains firm and unwavering.
Dr. Idris stressed that his primary focus is on the development of the Land of Equity (Kebbi State) and building on the progress made under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged the public to disregard the false claims, reaffirming that there is no truth to the reports of defection.
“My loyalty to the APC is steadfast,” he declared, adding that he remains dedicated to advancing the interests of both Kebbi State and Nigeria under the party’s banner.
Governor Idris concluded by calling for unity and continued support for the APC as efforts to drive growth and progress across the country intensify.
