Speaking on the handover of the building, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the importance of supporting magistrates, whom he described as the public’s primary point of contact with the justice system.

“Their decisions carry weight. They influence the peace of our communities and shape the way citizens perceive fairness and law,” he stated.

The governor said the housing project reflects his administration’s commitment to the well-being of judicial officers. He noted that comfortable and secure accommodation contributes to a working environment where legal professionals can carry out their duties without fear or compromise.

“This is more than a gesture; it’s a message that we value their role. By providing them with dignity and stability, we are reinforcing their independence,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He reaffirmed the state government’s respect for the separation of powers while emphasizing the shared responsibility across all branches of government to serve the people of Lagos.

Governor Sanwo-Olu concluded by pledging continued support for the judiciary, stating that safeguarding the well-being of those who uphold justice is essential to maintaining the social fabric of the state.
