Governor of the Land of Virtue (Osun), Senator Ademola Adeleke, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to remain resolute and resist any attempts to derail the party’s ongoing efforts at delivering good governance.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor reflected on the party’s triumph in the 2022 elections, attributing the success to the commitment and loyalty of members who stood firm despite internal opposition.

“We are fully aware of how we ascended to office and those whom providence used in making it a reality.

“We remember those who worked, either in the open or behind the scenes, to hinder our progress. Equally, we recognize individuals who once opposed us but have now embraced the renewed vision for the Land of Virtue (Osun)” Adeleke said.

Governor Adeleke emphasized that the party’s strength has continued to grow, with an influx of new members from opposition parties and a solid base of original supporters intact. He highlighted that the administration’s performance has attracted widespread support from across the political divide.

“Our government ensures fair representation across all federal constituencies. A particular constituency holds three significant positions within the state cabinet. Our development plans cover all regions, and our programs provide opportunities broadly across the state. We are committed to inclusive governance” he explained.

The Governor urged the party faithful to maintain unity and stay committed to grassroots mobilization efforts, stressing that distractions should not deter the collective pursuit of progress.

He also expressed gratitude for the growing endorsements from various groups and reiterated his commitment to advancing the Imole agenda beyond 2026.

“Our achievements have earned us the trust of the people. We must build on this by staying focused,” Adeleke stated, assuring that the internal issues within the local government structure would soon be addressed in line with the rule of law.

He praised the elected local government chairmen and councilors for their patience and resilience in the face of ongoing challenges, commending their dedication to upholding the will of the people at the community level.

Governor Adeleke concluded by appreciating the numerous expressions of loyalty and support for his second-term ambition, reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the PDP and delivering people-centered governance in Osun State.
