In a statement issued on Saturday, Ambode, while pledging his commitment to Tinubu’s second term ambition, dismissed reports alleging his planned defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). A claim he described as deliberate attempts to create distractions.

He acknowledged the President’s giant strides in pensions, education, youth empowerment, and economic development.

Akinwumi Ambode, who is a one-term Governor in Lagos under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, urged party members and citizens to remain steadfast in their support for the party, stressing the need for unity ahead of the next general elections.

He vowed to work for the electoral success of the party in the 2027 General Elections.
