Acting on the mandate of the National Executive Committee and in line with Section 29(2)(b) of the party’s 2017 constitution (as amended), the National Working Committee (NWC) unveiled a 10-member team tasked with steering the affairs of the party at the state level.

Dr. Tony Aziegbemi has been named chairman of the committee, with Hon. Henry Duke Tenebe serving as secretary. Other members include Hon. Harrison Omagbon, Hon. Fidel Igenegbale, Hon. Chris Nehikhare, Tony Anenih Jnr., Arch. Bishop Anthony Okosun, Hon. Segun Saiki, Adezat Kuburat Ibrahim, and Augustine Edosomwan.

The committee will administer the party’s activities in Edo State for a maximum term of three months, as provided under Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP constitution.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the PDP urged members in the state to cooperate with the committee and maintain cohesion in the interest of the party’s progress.

The party also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security bodies, and the press to take note of the new leadership arrangement in the state.
