Lagos Offers Fresh Employment Opportunities, Calls for Applicants

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has declared openings for various full-time positions as part of its drive to strengthen capacity and extend its support to businesses and job seekers within the state.

Established by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law of 2016, LSETF is tasked with promoting job opportunities and supporting small businesses across Lagos. With a N25 billion commitment, the Fund continues to empower residents to scale their businesses or acquire vocational skills that improve employability.

The following roles are now open for application:

Start-Ups Officer
Location: Lagos
Type: Full-Time

Objective:
To support the implementation of programs that stimulate the local tech scene, while aligning with the Fund’s broader goals.

Key Duties:

Manage day-to-day operations of Lagos Innovates programs.
Handle admission processes into startup initiatives.
Research startup-related challenges.
Monitor program outcomes and provide regular reports.
Ensure data protection practices are upheld.
Manage partnerships and track effectiveness.

Requirements:
HND or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum lower credit).
NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
Minimum two years of relevant experience.
Certifications in related fields are an advantage.
Skills Sought:
Client engagement, reporting, planning, communication, stakeholder management, and business analysis.

Finance Officer
Location: Lagos
Type: Full-Time

Objective:
To deliver timely and accurate financial services in support of the Fund’s goals, while also maintaining oversight of project records and treasury operations.

Key Duties:
Maintain comprehensive loan records.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Confirm equity contributions.
Support audit procedures.
Handle petty cash transactions and payment processes.
Comply with data security standards.
Ensure adherence to tax obligations.

Requirements:
HND or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum lower credit).
NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
Minimum two years of experience in a related financial role.
Relevant certifications are an added benefit.

Skills Sought:
Financial analysis, written communication, reporting, planning, tax compliance, and ERP use.

Public Relations and Promotions Officer

Location: Lagos
Type: Full-Time
Objective:
To design and execute campaigns that project a strong image of the organization and keep the public informed and engaged.

Key Duties:
Generate timely digital content for social media and web platforms.
Monitor public feedback and adjust strategies.
Assist in organizing and publicizing programs.
Develop and edit visual media content.
Uphold consistent brand representation across platforms.
Observe data privacy and communication standards.

Requirements:
HND or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum lower credit).
NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
Minimum two years of professional experience.
Additional qualifications are advantageous.

Skills Sought:
Media production, storytelling, digital engagement, stakeholder interaction, and visual design.

Procurement Officer
Location: Lagos
Type: Full-Time

Objective:
To support strategic procurement and material sourcing processes, ensuring value in the purchase of goods and services.

Key Duties:

Develop and maintain procurement policies.
Resolve supplier-related concerns.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Engage with vendors and conduct negotiations.
Evaluate markets for better sourcing options.
Ensure secure handling of data and contracts.
Manage the bid and vendor selection process.

Requirements:
HND or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum lower credit).
NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
At least two years of related work experience.
Professional procurement certification is desirable.

Skills Sought:
Contract handling, supplier management, negotiation, report drafting, planning, and organizational awareness.
