Abuja — The Federal Government, through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has announced the commencement of nationwide recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies.
The exercise, which is expected to begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025, offers full-time employment opportunities across the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In an official statement issued by the Secretary to the Board, suitably qualified Nigerians are invited to apply for various positions under three categories: Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant Cadres.
Positions and Qualifications
Under the Superintendent Cadre, the Nigerian Correctional Service is accepting applications from medical doctors for the position of Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02). Also open are Assistant Superintendent roles in the Fire Service, available to engineering and law graduates, as well as a general Assistant Superintendent II role for degree and Higher National Diploma holders.
The Inspectorate Cadre includes openings for registered nurses and midwives across three agencies—NCoS, FFS, and NSCDC. There are also opportunities for Assistant Inspectors with qualifications such as the National Diploma or the NCE in relevant disciplines.
The Assistant Cadre targets school leavers with O’Level results and individuals with trade certifications. These roles include general duties, driving, appliance operations, and artisan functions in technical trades.

Be Nigerian citizens by birth;
Present relevant and verifiable academic or professional qualifications;
Be in good physical and mental health, supported by a medical report from a government hospital;
Be reputable with no criminal record or financial misconduct;
Fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years;
Meet the minimum height and chest measurement requirements;
Possess basic computer knowledge, which may provide an advantage during selection.
