Badagry Radio has officially moved its annual Badagry Community Service Awards (BCSA) and Gala Night from December to October, beginning with the 2025 edition.

The announcement was made by the station’s management on Saturday, citing the need to align the event with the historical timeline of the station’s establishment, which took place in October. The new schedule, they said, would also ease the planning challenges often associated with the December holiday rush and allow for broader community participation.

“The shift to October is a strategic decision that enables us to connect the awards to the roots of Badagry Radio while creating a more convenient timeframe for guests and organizers,” the statement read.

Preparations for the 2025 edition of the BCSA and Gala Night are scheduled to begin by the end of July. The early start is intended to give the organizing committee enough time to deliver a high-quality event that recognizes and celebrates individuals and organizations that have made meaningful contributions to the Badagry community.

The BCSA has become a major platform for acknowledging efforts in community development, social impact, and service across various sectors within the region. The annual Gala Night, which accompanies the awards, brings together stakeholders, residents, and well-wishers in a celebration of unity and excellence.

Badagry Radio reaffirmed its dedication to uplifting the community through programs and events that promote service, leadership, and social responsibility.
