Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has announced that the planned nationwide police protest will hold as scheduled on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Sowore, in a statement shared on his social media handle, disclosed that he met with Dan Bello, Barrister Abba Hikima, and Bature — as preparations intensify for the demonstration.
The protest is expected to begin at 7:00 am at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Sowore, who has long been a vocal critic of police misconduct and government repression, declared that there would be “no going back” on the protest, which is aimed at drawing attention to grievances within the police system and broader calls for reform.
Tagged #PoliceProtest, the march is anticipated to attract widespread participation and attention as issues around welfare, service conditions, and accountability within the police continue to generate national concern.
