President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja on Sunday for Ijebu-Ode to honour the memory of the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
This was disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
The president is expected to attend the eighth-day prayer ceremony at the Dipo Dina Stadium, alongside the Gateway State (Ogun) Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and a host of other dignitaries.
Oba Adetona, revered as one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers, died on July 13 at the age of 91. He was buried a day after in Ijebu-Ode, the town he served for over six decades.
