U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a stern warning to Nigeria’s government, threatening to suspend all American aid and consider military action over the continued killings of Christians in the country.
In a statement shared on his official social media page, Trump accused Nigeria’s leadership of allowing what he described as “Islamic terrorists” to target Christian communities without decisive intervention. He warned that the United States might take direct military steps if the Nigerian authorities failed to act swiftly.
“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria,” Trump declared.
“We may very well go into that now disgraced country, guns-a-blazing, to completely wipe out the terrorists committing these horrible atrocities.”
The American leader further revealed that he had instructed the U.S. Department of War to begin preparations for potential strikes. According to him, any military response from Washington would be “fast, vicious, and sweet.”
Trump ended his post with a warning, saying: “The Nigerian Government better move fast.”
