The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has introduced a digital platform known as the “Hajj Companion App” to support Nigerian pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

According to a statement released on Friday by the National Orientation Agency, Nigeria, the application was designed to improve the experience of pilgrims both in Nigeria and in the Holy Land by providing support services during the pilgrimage.

The agency explained that the platform would serve as a guide for pilgrims, helping them navigate major holy sites in Makkah, Mina and Madinah through its GPS-enabled location feature.

NOA stated that the application also contains a detailed Hajj guide translated into major Nigerian languages, including Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, to make it easier for users across the country to understand the rites and procedures of the pilgrimage.

“The Hajj Companion App integrates several user-focused features, including a GPS navigation system to help pilgrims easily locate their tents and key holy sites across Makkah, Mina and Madinah,” the statement said.

It added that the platform comes with a 24-hour call centre for real-time support, alongside a complaint channel through which pilgrims can report emergencies and other challenges directly from their mobile phones.

“These features are part of NAHCON’s broader commitment to improving service delivery and responsiveness during the pilgrimage,” the statement added.

The agency urged intending pilgrims to download the application through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store by scanning the QR code attached to official communication materials.
