Lagos — Ten individuals have been apprehended by officials of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources for defiling public spaces in separate incidents across the city.

Two suspects were caught defecating in the open along Agege Motor Road near the railway line. In a related operation, eight others were arrested for urinating in public at various locations including Allen Avenue, Opebi, and Governor’s Road in the Alausa area.

The Lagos State Government has reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on public nuisance and environmental abuse. The offenders are set to be prosecuted under the state’s environmental sanitation laws.

Authorities continue to warn residents against actions that degrade the environment, as the state intensifies its drive to maintain a cleaner and healthier urban space.

Details later.
