The Nigeria Police Force has introduced a new digital platform aimed at simplifying the vehicle registration process nationwide.

Known as the Central Motor Registry – Information System (CMR-IS), the portal allows vehicle owners to register their vehicles online without the need to visit physical offices. The initiative is designed to reduce delays, cut out third-party interference, and improve access to police motor registry services.

With just a mobile device or computer, users can now complete their registration process from home. Once submitted, the CMR certificate is processed and delivered within 48 to 72 hours.

The Force encouraged Nigerians to take advantage of the service by visiting the official portal at https://cmris.npf.gov.ng. For support or inquiries, users can contact the help desk via email at cmrsupport@npf.gov.ng or call +234 201 887 0133.

The Police maintained that the digital platform was introduced to enhance transparency, improve service delivery, and eliminate the stress often associated with vehicle documentation in the country.
