State Governor of the Centre of Excellence (Lagos), Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has formally received Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as she embarks on her inaugural official mission to the state.
The announcement, shared through Sanwo-Olu’s verified social media, indicated that the First Lady will distribute empowerment tools to over one thousand Lagosian women at the State House, Alausa, Ikeja.
The schedule also includes the official commissioning of the Lagos Industrial Leather Hub located in Matori, Mushin, which the governor championed as the largest facility of its type in West Africa.
Governor Sanwo-Olu appealed to citizens to accord the First Lady the warmest reception, pointing out that her programmes are geared towards delivering tangible support to the vulnerable.
“Her visit is a reminder of her deep commitment to the welfare of women, children, and families across Nigeria. It also reflects the values we in Lagos share, unity, inclusion, and development that touches every life,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He closed the statement by pledging that Lagos will continue to exemplify the finest traditions of hospitality and extended to Senator Tinubu an affectionate greeting on behalf of the industrious people of the state.
