The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has opened an application portal for recruitment into Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34.
The application is for graduates and postgraduate candidates across various disciplines.
In a statement issued by the relevant authority, the Force said the exercise is free of charge and warned prospective candidates against paying money to anyone during the process.
“Application Process is FREE OF CHARGE and no payment should be made at any point throughout the Exercise,” the notice stressed.
The online registration which began on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, will close on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Meanwhile, applicants must be citizens born in Nigeria and are between the ages of 20 and 32. Medical doctors (consultants) not more than 40 years of age may apply, while serving personnel interested in the programme must have spent a minimum of 10 years in service, attained the rank of corporal, and secured a recommendation from their commanding officer.
Male applicants must be at least 1.66m tall, while female candidates must not be less than 1.63m. All applicants are required to be medically and physically fit.
The DSSC 34 recruitment covers a wide range of specialisations, including Medicine and Nursing (Paediatrics, Mental Health, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesia, Nephrology, Accident and Emergency, Critical Care, Cardiothoracic and others), Biomedical Engineering, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Optometry and Clinical Psychology. Opportunities are also available in Legal Services, Administration and Personnel Management, Air Intelligence, Communication and Information Systems, Chaplaincy (Protestant and Roman Catholic), Imamship, Music, Sports, Education, and the Air Provost cadre.
Applicants are expected to hold a Second Class Upper degree or Upper Credit for HND, with MSc/MA and professional membership considered as added advantages. In addition, they must present their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
During the selection interview, candidates must provide original and photocopies of birth certificates, educational qualifications, local government indigeneship certificates, attestation forms, and recent passport photographs signed by authorised officers.
The notice added that any candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting false documents will be disqualified and handed over to law enforcement.
After completing the online application, candidates are to print the acknowledgment, parent/guardian consent, and local government attestation forms. A general aptitude test will follow at designated centres, after which shortlisted candidates will be invited for selection interviews.
