In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, the governor revealed that each athlete currently in camp will receive a support payment of ₦50,000 within 24 hours. He described the payment as a token of appreciation for their dedication and effort in qualifying to represent the state.

The governor also disclosed a tiered reward plan for medalists at the festival. Gold medal winners will receive ₦2.5 million each, while silver medalists are to get ₦1.5 million. Bronze medal winners will be awarded ₦1 million each.

Governor Abiodun emphasized that the gesture reflects the administration’s resolve to honor its commitments and promote a culture of recognition.

“We are professionals in politics. And that means when we make promises, we keep them,” he said.

The Ogun State contingent is currently in preparation for the national event, with expectations running high as the athletes gear up to make their mark.
