The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, Centre of Excellence, Hon. Peter Ajose, on Monday swore in newly appointed cabinet members during a ceremony held at the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Multi-Purpose Hall within the council secretariat in Iworo.

The inauguration featured the Secretary to the Local Government, supervisors and special advisers who will assist the chairman in running the affairs of the council. Ajose told the appointees that their emergence placed on them a duty to serve residents with dedication and honesty.
He said the appointments followed legislative screening and confirmation in line with laws guiding council administration in Lagos State, Centre of Excellence.
The chairman urged the officials to focus on the council’s RESHAPE Agenda, which targets responsive governance, economic empowerment, social welfare, human capital development, accountability, infrastructure growth and environmental sustainability.
Ajose also declared that the council would continue to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the THEMES+ Agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Centre of Excellence.
He charged members of the cabinet to work together as the administration begins full implementation of the 2026 budget and continues ongoing projects across communities within the council area.
The sworn-in officials and their portfolios include Hon. Wahab Ashade as Secretary to the Local Government; Jimoh Nuatin Amosu, Supervisor for Works; Solomon Mobolaji Adele, Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Environment; Otegbola Isaac Adediji, Supervisor for Budget and Planning; and Joshua Oke Afolabi, Supervisor for Youth, Sports and Social Services.
Others are Adeosun Wahab, Supervisor for Agriculture and Rural Development; Alhaja Kuburat Okunade, Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; Bankole Afeez, Supervisor for Education; Moses Adewale Falola, Supervisor for Tourism, Arts and Creative Economy; Gandonu Abodo John, Supervisor for Health; and Fagbamila Oluwadamilare Adewale, Supervisor for Transport and Parks.
Also sworn in were Cornelius Akinyele, Chief of Staff and Special Adviser on Special Duties and Civic Engagements; Timileyin Apelaye, Special Adviser on Health; Michael Talabi, Special Adviser on Legislative Matters; Abu Mumuni, Special Adviser on Chieftaincy and Community Affairs; Jonathan Sunday Olonde, Special Adviser on Environment and Sanitation; Bolaji Oke, Special Adviser for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; Gbedeji Victor Yemaren, Special Adviser on Market Affairs; Lukman Adele, Special Adviser on Revenue and Economic Planning; and Barnabas Abiodun Raji, Special Adviser on Disability and Inclusion.
The chairman said he was confident that the team would discharge their duties faithfully and support the council’s programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.
Party leaders, traditional rulers, councillors, council management staff, members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, community leaders and youth representatives attended the event.
