Speaking at the inauguration of a four-day orientation programme for the Commission’s Board, Akpabio, represented by the Deputy Senate President, Dr. Barau Jibrin, tasked the appointees with leaving a lasting impact. In a presentation titled “Building a Police Force that Works for All,” he reminded them that their roles carry both historical significance and heavy responsibility.

Dr. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in a message delivered by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Maurice Mberi, emphasized that the current leadership remains committed to the principle of collective accountability in managing Federal Executive Bodies.

Chairman of the Commission, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hashimu Argungu, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the relevance of the training exercise. He assured that the Commission is prepared to reposition itself and foster positive changes within the Nigeria Police Force.
