The event, held at the church auditorium at Unity Bus Stop, Age-Mowo, Badagry, drew a large congregation of worshippers who came to give thanks and commemorate the milestone.

The celebration was combined with the church’s annual Christmas Carol and End-of-Year Thanksgiving service, creating a three-in-one programme. Worshippers were treated to spirited choir performances, dramatic presentations, and thanksgiving offerings from children, youths, mothers, and fathers.

The event also featured spiritual blessings delivered by the guest preacher, creating an atmosphere of joy, reflection, and gratitude.

Zonal Pastor Gbenga Alabi reflected on the challenges the church has overcome and highlighted the progress achieved over the years. He expressed appreciation to members who contributed financially to the church’s growth and commended the pioneering pastor and founding members for their dedication.

The anniversary sermon was delivered by Pastor Callistus Obanya, PICP, LP31, on the theme “Awesome God”, drawn from the anniversary theme’s text, Psalms 33:8 and another Bible reference, Romans 11:33-36.

Pastor Obanya described God as marvelous and overwhelming, emphasizing His limitless power and presence. “Our God is awesome, His name is awesome, His presence is awesome,” he declared, citing God’s mighty works, including parting the Red Sea, bringing down the walls of Jericho, healing the sick, prospering His people, and raising the dead.

He encouraged the congregation to trust God’s plans, even when they are beyond human understanding.

Members also joined the first Sunday of the month televised sermon from RCCG General Overseer Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Preaching on “Master Builder”, Pastor Adeboye reminded worshippers that God is the ultimate architect, building not only houses but also marriages, families, businesses, churches, individuals, and destinies. He urged members to commit fully to God, assuring them that the gates of hell cannot prevail against His work.

The anniversary programme concluded with the entertainment of guests and closing prayers, leaving members inspired and grateful for the church’s 13-year journey of faith, service, and community impact.
