Reports are circulating on social media and among local sources suggesting that Oba Adegboyega Famodun, the Owa of Igbajo in Osun State, may have passed away.

As of this report, the family and official palace sources have not confirmed the development.

Oba Famodun, who previously served as state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, was installed as Owa of Igbajo following the demise of his predecessor. His tenure has been marked by a high-profile legal dispute over his appointment, which culminated in a 2025 Osun High Court ruling that reinstated him to the throne.

While the news of his alleged death is generating reactions online, National Parrot has not reached out to palace officials for verification and is awaiting confirmation before any official statement can be released.

This is a developing story. National Parrot will provide updates once credible information is available.
