Mrs Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has narrated how her family narrowly escaped a suspected poisoning on New Year’s Day.
According to reports monitored by National Parrot from several credible news outlets, Mrs Adeboye shared the experience in a video that surfaced on social media in early October 2025. She said an unidentified person had delivered a dish to their home as a New Year gift, but she felt uneasy about it.
“I walked into the kitchen and asked who brought the food. When they told me, I told them to give it to the dogs,” she recounted. “After the dogs ate, one of them died.”
She described the incident as divine protection and urged believers to always be spiritually alert to warning signs. “It was God who saved us,” she said. “Sometimes, He speaks through a simple nudge in your spirit.”
The story, first reported by The Cable on October 29, was later carried by Naija News, Leadership, Tribune Online, and Daily Post. None of the outlets, however, indicated any official response from the RCCG or further investigation into the alleged poisoning.
As of press time, National Parrot could not independently verify the account or identify the individual who delivered the food.
