OPay has introduced a channel for selected Nigerians to access the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 living-cost support under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
The digital financial services provider, which is an approved payment partner for the programme, said eligible beneficiaries could confirm and accept their support by dialling *955*20# or logging into their OPay mobile application.
In its announcement, OPay described the intervention as “₦50,000 in living-cost support for selected eligible Nigerians”, adding that it was facilitating the “secure and transparent disbursement” of the funds.
The company urged prospective beneficiaries to follow the instructions provided through the USSD channel or mobile application to determine whether they had been selected.
It also cautioned that beneficiaries did not need to click any external links or pay fees to access the assistance, stressing: “No link clicking required. No fees. No charges.”
The NERSI programme is a Federal Government intervention designed to provide financial relief to eligible Nigerians facing rising living costs
