More Nigerian returnees from South Africa have arrived in the country, with the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) announcing that families without accommodation will be provided free housing in estates owned by the church.

The announcement was contained in an official statement issued by OPM, which said the housing support is reserved for families made up of husbands, wives and children who have no home to return to after arriving in Nigeria.

The church said beneficiaries would be accommodated at no cost in estates acquired for the programme.

“Please families like husband and wife and children that don’t have any home in Nigeria to come back to are welcomed to a free estates purchased specially for them,” the statement read.

It added, “The OPM estate is 100% FREE OF CHARGE for families only.”

OPM said it currently has 18 estates dedicated to providing accommodation for indigent Nigerians who cannot afford rent.

To ease transportation for the returnees, the ministry disclosed that it had purchased a bus to convey eligible families from the airport.

“A free bus has also been purchased to pick families from the airport to the estate. The bus is written SOUTH AFRICAN RETURNEES, identify yourself and the bus will bring you to church for documentation before taking you to the free estates,” the statement said.

The church also informed the returnees that feeding arrangements were still being finalised, asking beneficiaries to provide their own meals for the first week after arrival.

“Please don’t be angry, we have not yet concluded with the catering woman, so you will feed yourself till next week when we would conclude with another catering woman. But u will feed yourself this week,” it stated.

OPM said the housing and welfare programme is financed through funds received from members of the church.

“EVERYTHING IS FULLY FUNDED THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS FROM OPM CHURCH,” the statement added.
