Youths and young adults drawn from RCCG Dunamis Assembly, surrounding parishes and other denominations converged on Agemowo, Badagry, on 23 November 2025 for a special inter-church programme themed “What’s Your S.H.A.P.E?”
The event, held at the Dunamis Assembly by Unity Bus-Stop, featured worship, praise, fun games, prayer sessions and a central teaching designed to guide participants towards clarity of purpose.
The message was based on notes delivered by Deaconess Hannah Oluwabiyi during the programme organised by the Dunamis Assembly youth department.
Deaconess Oluwabiyi, speaking from Ephesians 2:10, told attendees that every individual carries a unique blend of Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experience.
She described spiritual gifts as divine enablements, saying, “They are what God has naturally empowered you to do.” She referenced 1 Corinthians 12, Joel 2:28 and Romans 12 while urging participants to discover and apply their gifts. She asked, “Have you discovered the talent God has given unto you? And if you have discovered it, are you making use of it?”
On Heart, she described passion as a major guide, stating, “What you care deeply about is your passion, and that is where your heart is.”
She spoke on Abilities as natural or acquired strengths that help people function without struggle. Turning to Personality, she described it as “how God wired you to be, feel and relate,” referencing Psalms 139:13 as evidence of its divine origin. She also highlighted Experience as part of the process God uses to shape believers, pointing to Romans 8:28 while stressing the importance of family background, education and personal stories.
Deaconess Oluwabiyi rounded off the teaching with a breakdown of the S.H.A.P.E framework:
S: Where do I feel spiritually strong and effective?
H: What stirs my passion?
A: What can I naturally do well?
P: How do I behave or respond?
E: What has life taught me?
The inter-church gathering ended with a call for youths to reflect on these questions as they pursue clarity in both ministry and life.
The event featured extended worship and praise led by a combined choir, followed by interactive games that brought together youths from multiple congregations. A closing prayer session focused on seeking direction for spiritual and personal growth.
In an interview with the Zonal Youth president after the programme, Adeola Adeoba said the event was designed to help participants understand their identity and direction.
She explained that “The motive behind this program is geared towards self-discovery, purpose and transformation, empowering youths to be themselves and find their place in ministry and life. The program provides a roadmap to self-discovery and purpose through the Knowing your SHAPE framework. Through this, youths can unlock their potential, live intentionally, and discover their purpose and direction.”
She also offered a message to young people, saying, “Own this journey, be open to growth by learning and unlearning, and don’t compare yourself to others. Discover your gifts, follow your heart, and trust the process. You have a purpose, and it’s waiting to be unlocked. Your SHAPE is unique, and that’s your superpower! Keep shining, and inspire others with your story.”
