Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed pride that the ambitious coastal route begins in Lagos, highlighting the significance of the project for the state and the country at large.

“This road marks a turning point. It links people, encourages business, and brings real progress to the coastal areas of our nation,” he said.

The governor emphasized that Lagos is prepared to maximize the benefits of the project, which is expected to open up new economic opportunities across the southern corridor.

He thanked President Tinubu for his commitment to the project, calling the commencement a major stride toward national growth.

“This is a proud moment for Lagos and Nigeria. We’re witnessing the start of something that will reshape how we connect and grow as a nation,” he said.
