The celebrated trio — Nafisa Abdullahi, Rukayya Muhammad Fema, and Hadiza Kashim Kalli were recognised for their exceptional performances in English language communication and debate.

Seventeen-year-old Nafisa was crowned the overall best in English language skills, while 15-year-old Rukayya secured the top spot in the global debate category. Hadiza earned the competition’s outstanding talent gold medal.

President Tinubu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised the students for their remarkable achievements, describing them as shining examples of Nigeria’s promising youth.

He said the performance of the three girls highlights the strength of the country’s young population and provides hope for a more promising national outlook.

“Their accomplishments reflect the capacity of our young people to compete and excel on the global stage,” the President said.

Tinubu also commended the schools responsible for grooming the girls, noting that their success speaks to the quality of academic training being offered in the country.

He reiterated the importance of education in building a prosperous society, citing his administration’s commitment to making education more accessible, particularly through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which supports students from underprivileged backgrounds.

President Tinubu urged Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain focused on their academic pursuits and wished them continued excellence in their journey ahead.
