The All Progressives Congress in Ogun State has revised the commencement time for its senatorial direct primaries, fixing the exercise for 10am across the 236 wards in the state.

The development was contained in a fresh notice issued on Monday by the Ogun State chapter of the party and signed by its Organising Secretary, Hon. Yemi Adelani.

The party stated that all registered members would participate in the primary through the Option A4 voting method, with the exercise taking place at the ward level.

It added that candidates are entitled to appoint agents to monitor the process, while results from the wards would first be collated at the local government level before transmission to the state level for final declaration.

The APC also clarified that the conduct of the election and collation of results would be handled solely by party officials assigned by the party, while officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission would only observe and monitor the process.

The notice directed members to come with their temporary party cards for verification, adding that those without slips could still vote if their names appear on the register.

The party stated that the INEC-certified register would be used for the primary, while accreditation of members would take place before voting begins.

The statement read, “NO BALLOT, NO THUMB PRINT.

“OPTION A4 SYSTEM — SAME AS USED IN THE 1992/1993 ELECTIONS.”

The party also instructed members to arrive at the state secretariat by 8am prompt ahead of the exercise.
