Mobolaji Ogunlende, brought together Heads of Agriculture and Social Services Departments from the 57 LGAs and LCDAs—a gathering the commissioner described as the first of its kind in nearly a decade.

Commissioner Ogunlende stated that the engagement was aimed at enhancing coordination and building a unified front in addressing youth and social development matters across the state.

“As these departments oversee youth and social development matters at the local level, this gathering marked a crucial step towards fostering synergy between the state and local governments,” he said.

The commissioner explained that the session was part of a broader strategy to ensure consistent policies and a more structured approach to delivering support to young people and vulnerable groups across the state.

He added that the state government remains committed to improving the welfare and opportunities available to residents by ensuring that development efforts reach even the most remote areas.

The meeting marks a renewed focus on collaboration and accountability across all tiers of governance, to improve improve service delivery and strengthen public trust in social development initiatives.

The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to building inclusive structures that support growth, equity, and sustainable development across all sectors.
