The African Action Congress (AAC) has asked President Bola Tinubu to provide it with Presidential Villa access and logistical support for 5,000 people ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party made the request in a letter dated October 21, 2026, signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, seeking approval to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council at Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11.
The AAC also requested food, drinks and other logistical arrangements for participants expected from Nigeria and abroad, citing what it described as similar support reportedly extended to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a political engagement.
In the letter addressed to Tinubu, the party argued that granting its request would demonstrate the Federal Government’s commitment to multiparty democracy and equal treatment of political parties.
“We believe that granting this request would demonstrate the Presidency’s commitment to fairness, equal access, and the principle that public institutions must serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination,” the letter stated.
The party said its request was rooted in political inclusiveness, arguing that public institutions should serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination.
It also asked the President to communicate the procedures and conditions required for approval.
