Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Professor Ayodeji Badejo as the next Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, LASU.
Badejo’s appointment comes ahead of the expiration of Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello’s five-year tenure as Vice-Chancellor.
A Professor of Guidance and Counselling, Badejo holds a Ph.D and M.Ed in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
She was born on August 4, 1962, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
Badejo is expected to succeed Olatunji-Bello, whose tenure is ending after five years at the helm of the university.
The Lagos State Government said Governor Sanwo-Olu approved the appointment as part of the transition to new leadership at LASU.
