President Bola Tinubu will spend the forthcoming end-of-year holidays in Lagos, the Centre of Excellence, where he is expected to take part in several public and cultural activities, bringing the festive season closer to the people of the state.

This was disclosed in a State House press release issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga.

The President is scheduled to be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival holding on December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square. The event will celebrate notable personalities, including his late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, former Lagos State Governor Alhaji Lateef Jakande, and Chief Michael Otedola.

Before arriving in Lagos, President Tinubu will undertake official visits to Borno and Bauchi states. In Borno, he will commission projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum, alongside those completed by the Federal Government.

The President will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Maiduguri, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi on a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.

He will later return to Lagos to join residents of the Centre of Excellence in celebrating Christmas and the New Year season.
