The All Progressives Congress in Ogun State has announced that its senatorial direct primaries will commence at 1pm across the 236 wards in the state.
The notice was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Ogun State chapter of the party and signed by the Organising Secretary, Hon. Yemi Adelani.
The party stated that all registered members would be allowed to vote during the exercise through the Option A4 system, with voting taking place at the ward level.
According to the notice, candidates participating in the primary are expected to appoint agents to monitor the process, while results from the wards would be collated at the local government level before being transmitted to the state level for final declaration.
The party also clarified that the election and collation of results would be handled by officials appointed by the APC, while the Independent National Electoral Commission would only monitor the exercise.
The statement added that accredited party members without slips could still participate if they present temporary party cards and have their names on the register.
It also stated that the register certified by INEC would be used for the exercise, while accreditation of members would precede voting.
The notice read, “NO BALLOTS NO THUMB PRINT.
“OPTION A4, SAME AS 1992/1993 ELECTION.”
